"Snickers" Sculpture

Below is a replica in progress of Snickers, a gorgeous Basset Hound mix with a surprisingly seriously deep "howl" as a bark~! She really loves her family and loves to be either outside hunting lizards or curled up with a family member. I decided to sculpt her as if she were outside on the grass with her left paw on top of her favorite stuffed duck toy...

Below is the progress of a replica for a client's dog that recently passed away. "Roxie" was a beautiful lab mix who loved being with her owners and going out on their boat. I was contacted when Roxie's owners won the bid for one of my sculptures at the 6th Annual Tuxes & Tails Gala in 2018 for the Brevard County Humane Society in Florida. For this sculptures, they requested that Roxie's head be tilted slightly upward and her front legs crossed. She will be sculpted as if she were outdoors on grass with a tennis ball...

"Kira & Roscoe" Sculpture

Below are reference, progress and completed photos of the Kira and Roscoe sculpture...they are best friends. This 3D replica sculpture is very special, as the two of them will be together in an art piece...

Some info about creating this sculpture: I had many reference photos to work with where each photo of Kira (the Shepherd) had a different coat pattern and color through change of seasons and aging, etc. In some photos she seemed to have a lot of yellow and orange/gold tones in her coat and in other photos she had more gray, black, white and beige tones, so I took an "average" of all of the reference photos to come up with her coloring. I also positioned her rear end with her back legs up and in more so she could be more curled around Roscoe (the little guy). My client for this sculpture requested that Roscoe be in more warm/reddish brown tones rather than flat brown....

All sculptures are given a realistic appearance and "come to life" with airbrushing and hand painted fine detailing.

"Dimensional Portraits"

Dimensional Portraits are visually stunning wall hangings. This type of sculpture has the most flexibility with sizes and pricing.

With this type of sculpture, clay is slightly built up from a wooden plaque. The price will be reflective of the level of clay depth you choose.

4 TYPES OF SCULPTURES:

"Full 3D Models"

Full 3D models are typically on a base and show most all angles of the subject. You can request a stand-alone sculpture without a base which will require a strong internal structure (armature) and will be reflected in the price.

Full 3D models are truly amazing and will need to have a special place to be displayed without being handled.

Examples of a Full 3D Models:

"Unique and Usable Art"

I create many forms of amazing Unique and Usable Art, such as light switch covers, business card holders, pencil holders, soap dishes, custom frames, jewelry pieces, and so much more. Many of these sculptures are already made that you can purchase or you can send me your idea for a custom sculpture.

"My Misfit Collection"

My Misfit Collection started when I could no longer throw away sculptures that I had once started but for whatever reason didn't work out the way I had planned. I felt I was throwing away real souls, and decided to start saving these odd pieces for myself.

"Burlington the Burlap Sack Misfit" (shown to the right) was the piece that made me pause when I had thrown him in the garbage bin and saw his sad, raw clay face staring sadly back at me....I immediately grabbed him back out of the garbage and decided to finish him as the first piece of my "Misfit Collection" (the first of many that I dearly love~!) These Misfits may or may not be sold, but you can always request a random Misfit be "purposely made" for you upon request.

SCULPTURE TYPE #1: “Dimensional Portrait”

For this type of sculpture, clay is slightly built up from a wooden plaque that hangs on a wall. This piece is very durable and is visually stunning on the wall.

6” plaque height starts at $400

8” plaque height starts at $600

12” plaque height starts at $800

* Includes 1 subject (pet/animal/human, etc.), 1 object of your choice (such as a pet’s favorite toy, etc.) and a basic background (such as a sky or field, etc.).

SCULPTURE TYPE #2: “Full 3D Model”

For this type of sculpture, clay is built in a full 3D view. The subject is bonded to a wooden base for stability. Some sculptures may require internal supports/armatures (to be discussed during consultation).

4-6” in circumference starts at $600

6-8” in circumference starts at $800

8-12” in circumference starts at $1,000

* Includes 1 subject (pet/animal/human, etc.), 1 object of your choice (such as a pet’s favorite toy, etc.) and a basic ground cover on the base (such as a rug, blanket, pillow, etc.).

SCULPTURE TYPE #3: Unique/Custom Art

Examples of this type of sculpture include custom light switch covers, business card holders, pen holders, frames, napkin holders or any idea you may have.

Starts at $100 (price to be determined upon consultation)

* Price increases with size, additional number of subjects and objects,

level of clay depth, any special framing in clay and/or additional crafting (faux grass, rocks, material, etc.)

Add cost of shipping: $20-$50+ (depending on size/weight of package) by special delivery ONLY

(Insurance is added to reflect the value of the sculpture being shipped)

ALL sculptures require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to purchase the supplies for the sculptures and initial sculpting hours. The balance plus shipping is due before releasing the sculpture. Since it takes several weeks or months to complete a sculpture, this allows for plenty of time to save for the balance and cost of shipping. You will be notified well in advance when the sculpture is to be shipped and the balance of the sculpture plus the cost of shipping is due.
